A long time ago (November 2020!) in a HTC far away, Coston Smauley knew that his fellow USMC Reserve officers needed better connectivity to each other. He quietly created a closed Facebook group and invited a few friends. Making sure to keep the trolls under the bridge where they belong, he vetted each member via magic (or MOL) and a lively group discussion followed. Soon he invited Matthew Munroe to help wrangle and manage the growing group of Marine officers who were discussing common and uncommon issues, training opportunities and job openings (USMCR and civ). The group continued to grow and they later invited Dianna DiToro to assist. The three noticed that there was an increase in desire amongst the group to meet up and while a few informal gatherings occurred, they knew that something bigger should happen. They hosted their first Reserve Leadership Symposium in 2024 near Dallas, TX and the result was so positive that they vowed to formalize their "really solid gaggle" into a non-profit and hold the Symposium on a yearly basis. Via online and in-person delivery, we facilitate: educational webinars, local meet ups, an informal yet still professional online forum, the annual symposium, job opportunities, job seeker connectivity, training opportunities, information on PME programs and answers on a multitude of topics via crowd-sourcing thousands of years of combined experience. We acknowledge that other organizations and non-profits support via an "up and out" approach and we're focused very much "down and in" on the irrational patriots currently in service in the USMCR. We look forward to expanding our service and value to our fellow USMCR officers (and beyond sometime soon!) and hope you'll join us.
